Lake Placid 1932

THE III^rd OLYMPIC WINTER GAMES

During the 1929 I.O.C. session in Lausanne, seven town wanted to organize the 3^rd Winter Game. Lake-Placid, a small village in the State of New York close to the Canadian frontier, with a modest height of 570 m was chosen among several competitors like Ysemite Valley(California), Denver (Colorado) or Montreal (Canada).
