THE XIIth OLYMPIC WINTER GAMES

Originally scheduled to take place in Denver, Colorado, the 1976 Winter Games were held in Innsbruck after the American city withdrew for political and economic reasons. These Games, twelve years after the Austrian city was first chosen, testified to the important developments that had taken place in many areas related to ice sports and the Winter Games, particularly in the relationship between sport and money.
