THE XIXth OLYMPIC WINTER GAMES


  The city of Salt Lake City was chosen to host the XIX Winter Games of 2002 by the International Olympic Committee on June 16, 1995 against cities such as Quebec City, Sion and Östersund. This will be the first time that the state of Utah will hold the Games in the Mormon shrine, including their genealogy center.
