The 12th Winter Paralympic Games




The Paralympic Winter Games will be held for 10 days. It was after three attempts that PyeongChang managed to host the Paralympic Winter Games by winning the majority of votes at the 123rd IOC Session held on July 7, 2011.
The Republic of Korea will host its first Paralympic Winter Games, 30 years after the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul.
The opening and closing ceremonies, as well as most snow sports events, will be held in PyeongChang, while the ice and downhill sports events will be held in Gangneung and Jeongseon, respectively.
